Being a wife has been one of the most rewarding and challenging roles I’ve ever taken on. Some days, I've felt like I’m thriving—connecting deeply with my husband, going with the flow of family life, and getting loads of wonderful self-care in. Other days, I've felt like I’m barely holding it all together.

Over the years, I’ve discovered a few go-to resources and lessons that have helped me find peace when life feels overwhelming, joy when I’m running on empty, and confidence when doubt creeps in. These aren’t just tools—they’ve become lifelines in my journey to build a life and marriage I truly love.

If you’re craving more calm, connection, or clarity in your own life, I think you’ll find something in here to inspire and uplift you. Let’s dive in and get you feeling confident, joyful, and empowered with these resources for wives!

Top 10 resources for wives to start the year empowered, confident, and joyful

#1: How To Release Resentment In Your Marriage by yours truly

This is one of my most-read blog posts, and it discusses a lesson I wish I'd known at the start of my relationship. Resentment often comes with the heaviness of pain and disappointment, so it's no wonder as wives we want to be freed from it. If you’ve ever felt disconnected and resentful towards your husband, this quick guide will give you tools to find peace and contentment again.

#2: How To Raise Mentally Resilient Children | Dr. Amen on the Jay Shetty Podcast

I'm so grateful that I stumbled upon this video at just the right time. Dr. Amen clarified for me some daily challenges I was experiencing with my little ones, and made parenting feel so much more connecting and empowering. This video is packed with tips to help parents raise resilient, confident, and mentally strong kids. It has given me tools to empower my children while easing the pressure on myself. I also love Dr. Amen's book Raising Mentally Strong Kids, but this Youtube video is a great place to start!

#3: 5 Steps to Reignite Connection In Your Marriage

This free guide walks you through practical steps to rekindle the connection in your marriage. Designed by me, it’s a resource I wish I’d had earlier in my journey.

#4: Elevate Workouts by Natalie Schwartz

Between raising three kids, working, and running a household, for years I found it impossible to consistently workout. Elevate changed that for me. I love opening my app everyday to find a new 15-20 minute workout that's recorded by a busy mom with a great sense of humor. Doing my daily workout is now a favorite part of my day! The workouts are fun and I feel so accomplished after. My body feels strong and toned, and I love the confidence that gives me.

#7:  Love People, Use Things: Because The Opposite Never Works by Joshua Fields Millburn and Ryan Nicodemus

This book was a game-changer for me. As an overwhelmed wife and mom, I didn’t realize how much clutter—both physical and emotional—was stealing my energy and focus. Reading this book helped me let go of what doesn’t matter and pour more into what does: my family and the connections that bring me joy. If you’re feeling stretched thin, this book might just lighten your load too.

#8: The Calm App for self-care

Meditation has become part of my daily routine. I turn to this app when I'm feeling overstimulated by my kids, when I'm stressed, or when I just want to refresh. With guided meditations, sleep stories, and relaxation techniques, it’s helped me find peace, patience, and gratitude even on the most stressful days.

#9: Yoga with Adriene on Youtube

Yoga with Adriene has been my go-to when I need to find balance and calm. Some of my favorites are the self-love, gratitude, and unwinding for bed sessions.

What I love most is how soothing her sessions are. If you’re looking for a quick way to relieve stress and reconnect with your body, her videos are an easy, nurturing resource. Give it a try next time you need a moment of peace and grounding!

#10: My Community for Wives

My group coaching membership, Magnetic Wife Haven, is a safe, supportive space for empowered wives looking to build stronger marriages. It offers community, tools, and guidance to navigate the ups and downs of married life. This is the perfect place if you want to find your blind spots, dive deeper into the Six Intimacy Skills, and create your vision for your marriage!

So You Have the Resource List. Now What?

I know how hard it can be to carve out time for yourself. That’s why I suggest starting small:

  1. Pick one resource from the list above. Choose the one that resonates most with where you are right now.

  2. Determine how much time you’ll need to complete it.

  3. Add it to your calendar. Treat it as sacred.

  4. Complete it. Then move on to the next.

Small, consistent steps lead to big changes. You’ve got this!

Which Resource Will You Start With?
